This extension to an existing barn conversion was unashamedly modern. The juxtaposition of traditionally stone-built barn and modern glass and steel extension provides a wonderful contrast of appearance along with absolute clarity of the modern addition.
A feeling of being within the extensive grounds was desired and c
reated.
The extension was created with flat metal roof, glass and steel walls and ceramic tile floor and patio area. A wood burning stove was set into one wall.
